Most mainboard IPOs price their shares above ₹100. Ardee Industries is doing something less common — a ₹426 crore mainboard issue priced at just ₹50–53 a share — and it comes to the market carrying a grey market premium of around 24%.
Here is the confirmed structure, the notable low-price-band angle, and an honest note on what we can and cannot tell you about it yet.

Why the low price band stands out
A ₹50–53 band is well below where most mainboard issues sit. It is not, by itself, a red or green flag — a low share price is a matter of how the company splits its capital, not how good the business is. What it does change is the mechanics you see as an applicant:
- The lot is large. At 281 shares, the lot is sized so that one lot clears the roughly ₹14,000–15,000 retail minimum a mainboard needs. A ₹53 share simply requires more shares to get there than a ₹500 share would.
- The minimum still lands in the normal range. One lot works out to about ₹14,893 at the upper band (₹14,050 at the floor) — right where mainboard minimums usually fall. So despite the unusual share price, the cheque you write is ordinary.
On the GMP
The grey market premium was about ₹13, or roughly 24% over the ₹53 upper band as we wrote this — implying a debut somewhere near ₹66. Treat that as a live sentiment reading, not a forecast:
- It is set by a small number of dealers on thin volume, and it moves every day until listing.
- It tends to overshoot on hyped issues and cannot see how the wider market will trade on listing day.
- If you are new to the term, our plain-English guide to GMP explains what it measures and how much weight it deserves.
We will update the live figure on the IPO page as subscription builds through the window — GMP alongside weak retail demand, or vice-versa, is the kind of divergence worth watching.
What we are not telling you — on purpose
We do not yet have verified fundamentals for Ardee Industries that we are willing to publish — revenue trend, margins, promoter holding, or exactly what the fresh capital is for. Rather than paraphrase those from memory or a secondary site, the responsible place to read them is the company's Red Herring Prospectus (RHP), filed with SEBI and linked from the exchange sites. That document, not a grey market quote, is what tells you whether the price is fair.
So take this post for what it is: the confirmed dates, band, lot and current GMP — the things people search for before applying — and read the RHP for the business itself.
The short version
Ardee Industries is a ₹426 crore mainboard IPO at an unusually low ₹50–53 band, lots of 281 shares, opening 5 August and listing around 12 August, with a ~24% GMP at writing. The low share price changes the optics, not the ~₹14,900 minimum. Watch the subscription and read the prospectus before the grey market number decides it for you.
