* Info is indicative, not an investment advice.EAAA India Alternatives Ltd., the alternative asset management arm of the Edelweiss group, is raising ₹1,200 crore through a mainboard IPO. How the shares are split. QIBs get 50% of the issue (36,03,604 shares, of which 21,62,161 went to anchors), non-institutional investors 15% (10,81,081 shares) and retail investors 35% (25,22,523 shares). Mutual funds took about 60% of the anchor book by value. Half of the anchor shares are locked in until 28 November 2026 and the rest until 27 January 2027 (see anchor investor lock-up expiry).
No separate Edelweiss shareholder quota in the final structure. Some draft-stage reports mentioned a category for Edelweiss Financial Services shareholders, but the final RHP allocation lists only QIB, NII and retail portions, which add up to the full issue. Edelweiss shareholders therefore bid in the regular categories. Our IPO shareholder quota guide explains how such quotas work when an issue does have one.
About EAAA India Alternatives
Incorporated on 14 May 2008, EAAA manages alternative investment funds focused on Indian real assets and private credit. Its business has two verticals:
- Real Assets: infrastructure, commercial real estate, perpetual capital and energy transition. It has 10 active funds here, including two InvITs.
- Private Credit: performing credit, special situations, real estate credit and investment-grade credit, with 16 active funds. It also runs portfolio management services.
As of 30 June 2026, the company reported assets under management (AUM) of about ₹95,345 crore, of which fee-paying AUM was about ₹48,623 crore, or roughly 51%. Subsidiary Sekura India Management Ltd. manages the underlying assets. Clients include institutions as well as HNIs, ultra-HNIs and family offices. The company had 277 employees on 30 June 2026.
Income comes from management fees on fee-paying AUM plus performance-linked income; we could not verify the split between them, so we have not given one.
Financial Performance
Restated consolidated figures, ₹ crore:
| Particulars | FY24 | FY25 | FY26 | Q1 FY27 (Jun 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Total income | 584.25 | 786.54 | 963.76 | 336.13 |
| Profit after tax | 175.16 | 229.78 | 265.20 | 80.71 |
| Net worth | 729.48 | 966.45 | 1,075.54 | 1,160.38 |
| Total borrowing | 444.83 | 507.49 | 441.03 | 399.20 |
| Total assets | 1,769.66 | 2,085.07 | 2,170.28 | 2,101.84 |
FY = financial year ending 31 March. Q1 FY27 is the three months ended 30 June 2026 and is not comparable with full-year figures.
- Growth is slowing at the profit line. Total income rose about 35% in FY25 and about 23% in FY26. Profit after tax grew about 31% in FY25 but only about 15% in FY26.
- Margins have narrowed. PAT as a share of total income went from about 30% in FY24 to 27.5% in FY26 and 24% in the June 2026 quarter.
- The latest quarter was strong year on year. Revenue from operations in the June 2026 quarter was about ₹275.5 crore against ₹190.8 crore a year earlier (up about 44%), and profit was ₹80.7 crore against ₹55.7 crore (up about 45%). About ₹60.6 crore of that quarter's total income was other income.
- Borrowing has come down. Total borrowing fell from ₹507.49 crore in March 2025 to ₹399.20 crore in June 2026, taking debt-to-equity from about 0.53 to 0.34.
Key Ratios & Valuation
| KPI | 30 June 2026 | 31 March 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Return on net worth | 28.96% (annualised) | 25.97% |
| Debt/Equity | 0.34 | 0.41 |
| PAT margin | 24.01% | 27.52% |
| Net asset value per share | ₹176.67 | ₹163.69 |
| Valuation metric (at ₹1,665) | Value |
|---|---|
| Market cap (pre and post issue) | ₹10,765.10 crore |
| EPS on FY26 profit | ₹41.02 |
| P/E on FY26 profit | about 40.6x |
| Price to June 2026 NAV | about 9.4x |
| Market cap / FY26 total income | about 11.2x |
| Market cap / fee-paying AUM | about 22.1% |
Why pre- and post-issue P/E should be the same here. Because the issue is a pure OFS, the share count stays at 6,46,55,246 before and after the IPO. The post-issue P/E of 33.35x shown on some pages uses an EPS of ₹49.93, which is the June 2026 quarter's profit multiplied by four. On actual FY26 profit of ₹265.20 crore, the P/E is about 40.6x both before and after the issue. Annualising one quarter assumes that pace holds all year. Our guide to IPO valuation ratios explains these measures.
Objects of the Issue
There is no fresh issue. The full ₹1,200 crore, net of the selling shareholder's share of offer expenses, goes to Edelweiss Securities & Investments Pvt. Ltd. The IPO adds no cash to the business. Read fresh issue vs offer for sale for why this distinction matters.
Shareholding & Promoters
The promoters are Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd., Edelweiss Securities & Investments Pvt. Ltd., Edel Finance Co. Ltd. and Edelweiss Global Wealth Management Ltd. Promoter and promoter group holding falls from 95.03% to 83.88% after the issue. Public holding rises from 4.97% to 16.12%.
Subscription Status
As of about 1:30 pm on 26 October 2026 (day 1), the issue had been subscribed 0.06 times overall: QIBs 0.08 times, NIIs 0.11 times and retail 0.03 times, with 5,669 applications. Live figures are on our EAAA India Alternatives IPO page.
EAAA India Alternatives IPO GMP Today
As of 26 October 2026, our tracked grey market premium for EAAA was ₹36, about 2.16% over the upper band. It was ₹111 on 23 October, ₹45 on 24 October and ₹33 on 25 October. GMP is unofficial, can swing sharply and is not a reliable guide to the listing price. See how accurate IPO GMP is.
Strengths (as stated by the company)
- More than 17 years in alternative asset management, across real assets, private credit and portfolio management
- A large AUM base and a diversified mix of institutional and non-institutional clients
- Technology-enabled asset operations through Sekura
- Structured risk management and an experienced management team
Risks to Consider
- No money for the company: the whole ₹1,200 crore goes to the selling promoter entity.
- Rich valuation on full-year profit: about 40.6x FY26 earnings and about 9.4x June 2026 net worth.
- Narrowing margins: PAT margin fell from about 30% in FY24 to 24% in the June 2026 quarter, and FY26 profit growth (about 15%) trailed income growth (about 23%).
- Fee base is about half of AUM: only about 51% of reported AUM was fee-paying in June 2026, so headline AUM overstates the asset base that earns recurring fees.
- Group control and small float: the Edelweiss group will still own 83.88%, leaving a public float of about 16%.
- Supply-overhang dates: anchor lock-ins end on 28 November 2026 (50%) and 27 January 2027 (the rest).

Does EAAA get any money from the IPO?+
No. The ₹1,200 crore issue is entirely an offer for sale by promoter entity Edelweiss Securities & Investments Pvt. Ltd., so the proceeds go to the seller and the share count stays at 6,46,55,246.
Is there a quota for Edelweiss Financial Services shareholders in the EAAA IPO?+
The final allocation published from the RHP shows only QIB (50%), NII (15%) and retail (35%) portions with no shareholder or employee category, so Edelweiss shareholders bid in the regular categories.
