Final Subscription by Category
These are the consolidated NSE and BSE figures as compiled by Chittorgarh, timestamped 7:28 pm on 23 October 2026, after bidding closed:
| Category | Shares on offer | Shares bid for | Times subscribed |
|---|---|---|---|
| QIB (excluding anchors) | 4,90,07,828 | 3,29,10,06,312 | 67.15x |
| NII (total) | 3,64,44,568 | 50,97,04,032 | 13.99x |
| bNII (above ₹10 lakh) | 2,42,96,379 | 38,58,03,384 | 15.88x |
| sNII (₹2 lakh to ₹10 lakh) | 1,21,48,189 | 12,39,00,648 | 10.20x |
| Retail | 8,50,37,326 | 23,49,11,016 | 2.76x |
| Employee | 46,94,836 | 1,36,82,592 | 2.91x |
| RIL shareholder quota | 2,23,41,376 | 16,94,67,900 | 7.59x |
| Total | 19,75,25,934 | 4,21,87,71,852 | 21.36x |
Other points from the final book:
- Total bids came to about ₹4,72,081 crore at the upper band of ₹1,119, against shares worth roughly ₹22,103 crore on offer outside the anchor book.
- The issue drew 1,38,65,863 applications in all. Retail made 1,02,77,586 of them, sNII 5,97,797, bNII 3,68,978 and QIBs 3,143.
Why you may see different numbers. Figures captured during the final afternoon are lower. Our own tracker last refreshed at about 5:00 pm on 23 October and showed 18.3x overall, 55.12x for QIBs and 2.69x for retail. Bids kept arriving until the close, and the 7:28 pm figures above include them. The registrar's basis of allotment, which removes invalid and duplicate bids, may differ slightly again.
The Anchor Book
On 19 October, the day before bidding opened, Jio Platforms allotted 7,24,74,066 shares to anchor investors at ₹1,119 each, raising ₹8,109.85 crore. The published allocation list has 212 entries, many of them separate fund schemes of the same asset manager.
The five largest allocations were:
| Anchor investor | Shares | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Life Insurance Corporation of India | 44,68,128 | ₹499.98 crore |
| New World Fund, Inc. | 43,45,548 | ₹486.27 crore |
| Government of Singapore | 30,46,728 | ₹340.93 crore |
| SBI Focused Fund | 28,15,020 | ₹315.00 crore |
| BNP Paribas Financial Markets (ODI) | 27,10,020 | ₹303.25 crore |
By type, foreign portfolio investors took 48.03% of the anchor book, mutual funds 34.34% and insurers 10.91%. Half the anchor shares are locked in until 25 November 2026 and the other half until 24 January 2027.
Your Retail Allotment Odds, Worked Out
When the retail portion is oversubscribed, SEBI's ICDR Regulations do not give each applicant a share of the book in proportion to their bid. Instead, the registrar works out how many applicants can receive the minimum lot. Those applicants are chosen by a computerised draw, and each winner gets exactly one lot of 12 shares, whether they bid for 1 lot or 14. Shares are only allotted beyond one lot when every valid applicant has already got one. Our guide on how IPO allotment works covers this in detail.
Here is the arithmetic with the final figures:
- Retail shares on offer: 8,50,37,326
- Lots available: 8,50,37,326 ÷ 12 = 70,86,443 (rounded down)
- Retail applications: 1,02,77,586
- Approximate chance per application: 70,86,443 ÷ 1,02,77,586 = about 0.69, or roughly 69%
The 2.76x subscription figure can mislead you here. It counts shares, and many retail applicants bid for the full 14 lots, so the shares bid for are well above the number of applicants. What matters for the draw is applications against lots, and that ratio works out to about 1.45 applications per lot.
The 69% figure is an estimate. Rejected bids, such as unpaid UPI mandates, duplicate PANs or bids below the final price, are removed before the draw, so the real ratio will probably be a little better. The registrar's basis of allotment document gives the exact numbers.
The same method gives rough odds for the NII sub-categories, where each winner receives the minimum NII application of 15 lots (180 shares):
- sNII: 1,21,48,189 ÷ 180 = 67,489 allottees against 5,97,797 applications, about 11%
- bNII: 2,42,96,379 ÷ 180 = 1,34,979 allottees against 3,68,978 applications, about 37%
The RIL shareholder quota was 7.59x subscribed. Its application count has not been published category-wise, so we have not estimated odds for it. If you bid in both the shareholder and retail categories, the two applications are processed separately, so check each one.
How to Check Jio Platforms Allotment Status
KFin Technologies is the registrar. You can check your status in any of these places:
- KFin Technologies: go to ris.kfintech.com/ipostatus, select Jio Platforms and search by PAN, application number or demat account.
- BSE: use the "Status of Issue Application" page on bseindia.com, choosing Equity and the issue name.
- NSE: use the IPO bid verification page on nseindia.com.
- IPOSathi: our Jio Platforms allotment page links to the registrar once the status is live.
Registrar sites often slow down on allotment evening for issues this large. If a page fails to load, try again later or use the exchange pages instead. Our registrar-wise allotment guide shows each registrar's screens step by step.
Refunds, Unblocking and Share Credit
If you were not allotted, the amount blocked under your UPI mandate or ASBA should be released on 27 October 2026. Because most applications use ASBA, nothing is refunded as such: the block on your account is lifted. Successful applicants should see 12 shares (one lot) in their demat account on the same day, ahead of listing. If your money is still blocked after a couple of working days, follow the escalation steps in IPO refund not received.
Grey Market Premium (Unofficial)
According to our tracker, the GMP stood at ₹247 on 26 October 2026, about 22.07% above the upper band. That would imply about ₹1,366 per share. It moved between ₹206 (14 October) and ₹259 (20 October) over the tracking period. GMP comes from unregulated, informal trading. It is not published by the exchanges or the company, and it can be far off the actual listing price. See the live Jio Platforms page for the latest reading.
What Happens on Listing Day
- Special pre-open session. Under SEBI's January 2012 framework, newly listed IPO shares go through a call auction from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on listing day. Orders can be entered, changed or cancelled for about 45 minutes, and order entry closes at a random moment near the end of that window. The exchange then matches orders and sets an equilibrium price, the price at which the most shares can trade. That becomes the listing price, and normal trading starts at 10:00 am.
- Two exchanges, one price. Jio lists on both NSE and BSE. SEBI's rules provide for a common equilibrium price in certain cases where the two exchanges' auction prices differ, so the opening price is usually the same or very close on both.
- Price bands. The 5% first-day band in SEBI's 2012 circular applies only to issues of up to ₹250 crore, so it does not cover this one. The exchanges state the band that applies in their listing notices, which are worth reading on the morning of 28 October.
- No guaranteed outcome. The listing price is set entirely by the orders placed in the auction. It can be above, at or below the issue price of ₹1,119, whatever the GMP or the subscription numbers suggested.
